Assistive Listening Devices

For some with hearing loss, extra help is needed to well on the telephone and while watching television.  Our clinics offer a wide selection of assistive devices to give that extra assistance.  Ask your hearing health professional about what devices will work best for you.

Battery Program

Fresh batteries for your hearings aids are always available in all sizes.  Patients enrolled in our Hearing Health Club enjoy batteries are no charge.  Simply stop by to pick them up?  No appointment needed.  If you are unable to come in for any reason, just give us a call and we’d be happy to mail them directly to you.

Diagnostic Hearing Evaluations

These evaluations are performed during each patient’s initial visit to our clinics and on an annual basis to closely monitor any change in hearing.  A complete hearing health history is obtained from each patient.  Your hearing health professional will examine your outer ear, ear canal and eardrum to determine if they appear healthy and to rule out any possible causes of hearing loss (such as excessive earwax or an ear infection).  Testing will be done to determine how much hearing loss the patient has, where in the ear the hearing loss is coming from and how well the patient is able to understand speech in quiet and noisy situations.  Additional diagnostic testing may be performed based on the results from the tests listed above.

Results will be discussed in detail to ensure each patient fully understands his/her own hearing loss and possible treatment options.  Annual hearing evaluations are done at no change for our patients enrolled in our Hearing Health Club.

Hearing Aid Clean and Checks

Proper maintenance of hearing aids is essential.  Regular checkups help ensure that the hearing aids are kept free of debris and wax and are kept working at their optimal level.  Patients enrolled in our Hearing Health Club receive this service at no charge.

Hearing Aid Demonstrations

Complementary demonstrations on the latest hearing aid technologies are always available.  Whether a patient has never worn a hearing aid before or has been wearing aids for twenty ears – listening to new technology is the best way to experience it and to determine if it is right for you!

Hearing Aid Evaluations

There are literally thousands of different hearing aids on the market and no one hearing aid can fit every patient’s hearing loss and lifestyle.  Our job is help match the best hearing aid for each patient, based on their own unique listening needs, all while keeping their financial considerations in mind.

Hearing Aid Fittings

All hearing aids are fit to match an individual’s exact hearing loss and listening needs.  There are millions of ways a hearing aid can be programmed, so your hearing health professional will work with you to determine which settings best match your needs.  With our real ear measurement system, we can now measure and record your hearing aids' performance while they are actually in your ears. This computer analysis helps us to verify that your hearing aids' prescription is precisely matched to your individual requirements.

Hearing Aid Repair Service

Our hearing health professionals are well trained and have many years experience in repairing most makes and models of hearing aids.  Many repairs can be done in house while you wait.  This saves you time (and money!).  Some major repairs can only be completed at the hearing aid manufacturer. Patients enrolled in our Hearing Health Club receive a 30% discount on all repairs.

Hearing Health Club

Patients enrolled in our hearing health club receive the following at no charge with their annual membership:  office visits, annual hearing examinations, wax removals, clean and check of hearing aids, and batteries.  Patients also receive 30% off all repairs.

Loaner Hearing Aids

What do you do if your hearing aid needs to be sent in for repair and you simply can’t go without it?  We have loaner aids that can be programmed to the patient’s hearing loss to use in the meantime.  Ask your hearing health professional if a loaner hearing aid could work for you!

Noise Protection

Excessive noise exposure is one of the leading causes of hearing loss.  Whether the noise is from years spent in the fields farming, going to loud rock concerts, hunting on the weekends or simply mowing your lawn – all of it can end up having a devastating effect on your hearing.  We offer a wide selection of customized hearing protection.  From hunter’s plugs that dampen the gunshot but allow you to hear the game accurately to motorcyclists plugs that reduce wind noise – we’ve got it all.  Talk with your hearing health professional about getting a customized pair for your needs.

Tinnitus Diagnostics and Management

Many patients suffering from tinnitus, or ringing in the ears, have been told over and over again that nothing can be done to help ease their symptoms. Here at Hearing Health Centers, tinnitus is no longer something you have to learn to live with; it is something you can conquer.  We focus on the comprehensive evaluation and successful treatment of each individual's tinnitus, ultimately resulting in a quieter and less stressful life for our patients.  Approximately 80% of our patients report a significant improvement in the reduction of their tinnitus after going through their own personalized tinnitus management program.

Video-Otoscopy

This equipment allows our patients (and their family members) to see what our hearing health professionals see when they look inside the ear.  Patients can see their own ear canals and ear drums.  This is a great way to educate patients about their hearing health and is very useful in monitoring for any accumulation of excessive earwax.

Wax Removal

A little earwax is normal.  But what happens when too much accumulates in an ear?  It can lead to serious problems such as hearing loss, a plugged sensation in the ear and even physical discomfort.  Earwax can also plug hearing aids, damaging them and causing patients to not hear well.

Proper removal of excessive earwax is very important.  More often than not, small instruments such as Q-tips or fingernails will remove an outer layer of earwax, while pushing the remaining portion deeper into the ear canal.  This can make proper removal more difficult.  Our hearing health professionals are well trained in how to safely remove wax from your ears.  Irrigation, suction equipment and/or curettes may be used, depending on the type of wax and location in the ear canal.  Your hearing health professional will determine which method is right for your ears.  Patients enrolled in our Hearing Health Club receive ear cleanings at no charge.
